Strategic Alternatives for Risk Management of Enterprises’ Economic Activities

The article examines the improvement of strategic risk management in the economic activities of enterprises through the implementation of an adaptive post-crisis monitoring model, focusing on the development of adaptive management mechanisms capable of operating effectively under heightened economic uncertainty. It is emphasized that the modern business environment is characterized by constant market fluctuations, geopolitical threats, technological shifts, and changing regulatory requirements, which necessitate the integration of risk management into the overall enterprise development strategy. The concept of post-crisis monitoring is revealed as a key risk management tool that allows systematic tracking of the impact of previously made decisions, identifying hidden threats, and promptly implementing strategic adjustments. Special attention is paid to the creation of a unified information base for risk assessment and forecasting, combining financial, production, logistical, and market indicators.
The importance of developing personnel competencies in risk identification and response is underlined, with a focus on finding resource-optimal solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, where high training costs often limit the ability to implement comprehensive risk management systems. An adaptive risk management model is proposed, providing for the interconnected implementation of four stages: identification, assessment, response, and control. The model takes into account industry-specific features, enterprise scale, and available resources, making it a universal tool for various economic sectors. Examples of strategic alternatives are presented, including diversification of activities, implementation of digital risk monitoring technologies, insurance against commercial and production threats, creation of partnership alliances, and development of anti-crisis reserves.
The research results can be used to improve corporate governance systems, enhance enterprise resilience to crisis phenomena, and develop long-term strategies that combine flexibility with a preventive approach to risk management.
