Documentary Support for the Design and Delivery of Tourism Products

Abstract

The proper documentation on design and delivery of tourism products is pivotal for effective financial management. Given the volatility of the contemporary market environment, documentation is becoming an important tool for strategic management, which makes solving problems related to documenting the processes of design and delivery of tourism products even more important. The aim of this article is to improve the system for documenting the design and delivery of tourism products. Among the methods used to achieve the aim of the article were: the logical method – in structuring the research results; design – in developing documents for the design and delivery of tourism products. A Tourism Product Design Card has been developed, the use of which will help to organise information about the tour, facilitating the creation of its descriptions, advertising materials and cost calculation. A Statement of Calculation of the Cost of a Tourism Product has been developed. The implementation of this tool for accounting purposes, thanks to improved cost detailing, will make it possible to identify reserves for optimising tourism products without compromising quality. A Consolidated Report on Tourism Product Areas has been developed. The implementation of this analytical tool will allow monitoring sales dynamics and identifying unprofitable or highly profitable offers. A Report on the Effectiveness of Methods for Stimulating Delivery of Tourism Products has been developed. The implementation of this strategic marketing tool will help to identify the most effective sales promotion methods for each type of tour and to abandon ineffective ones. Overall, integrating the developed documents into the processes of design and delivery of tourism products transforms documentation from an accounting tool into a strategic management instrument, enabling the tourism company to improve and develop effectively.
