The article examines the role of the IT industry as a key factor in Ukraine’s digital transformation and economic growth. The subject of the study is the economic interrelation between the development of the IT sector, the export of information services, tax revenues, and the gross domestic product of Ukraine. The purpose of the paper is to provide a quantitative and qualitative assessment of the impact of the IT industry on the country’s macroeconomic indicators, as well as to identify its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. To achieve this goal, methods of correlation and regression analysis, statistical comparison, SWOT analysis, and techniques of system and structural-logical generalization were applied. The empirical base was formed on the data of the National Bank of Ukraine, IT Ukraine Association, international analytical reports, and official statistics. The analysis revealed a positive relationship between the development of the IT sector and Ukraine’s GDP. The conducted SWOT analysis made it possible to identify the strategic advantages of the industry (high qualification of personnel, export orientation, adaptability to crisis conditions) and its main constraints (dependence on external markets, brain drain, and uneven tax burden). The study also identified development opportunities and threats related to wartime risks, cyberattacks, and energy instability. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in their applicability for shaping state policy in the field of digital economy, stimulating innovation, and improving the tax regulation of the IT sector. The research findings can be used in the development of strategies for the digital transformation of the economy, investment programs, and Ukraine’s post-war recovery initiatives. The conclusions emphasize that the IT industry serves as a foundation of the digital economy and one of the key drivers of economic growth, ensuring currency stability, fiscal resilience, and international competitiveness of Ukraine.
