Abstract

In the context of intensified global competition and growing external instability, the digital transformation of Ukraine’s agricultural sector has become not only a timely necessity but also a strategic factor in ensuring long-term competitiveness. This article examines the organizational and economic foundations of digitalization in agricultural enterprises as a key trajectory for their adaptation to the principles of sustainable development and integration into the European market. It is substantiated that the implementation of digital solutions in the areas of precision agriculture, logistics, production planning, and accounting enables more efficient resource use, reduction of losses, and increased productivity.

A systems and factor-based approach is applied, along with methods of graphical modeling, comparative analysis, and synthesis. The study reveals that Ukrainian agribusinesses face a number of digital transformation barriers, including limited financial support, personnel shortages, and fragmented regulatory frameworks. A conceptual model of agricultural digital transformation is proposed, involving synchronization of production, management, and logistics processes through the application of advanced AgTech solutions, ERP systems, artificial intelligence technologies, blockchain-based logistics, and digital document management.

The research emphasizes that the success of digital transformation largely depends on the development of an enabling institutional environment, access to investment and educational resources, and state support through preferential programs, digital hubs, and human capital development incentives. The results may be used for designing digitalization strategies for the agrarian sector, government SME support programs, and educational curricula for the digital economy.

The article concludes that digital transformation constitutes not merely a technical modernization process but also an institutional shift that redefines the operational logic of agricultural enterprises, enhancing their flexibility, transparency, and resilience. Future research should focus on developing industry-specific digital standards, performance indicators for digitalization, and evaluating the impact of digital tools on the export capacity of Ukraine’s agri-food sector.
