Methodological Foundations for the Development of Ukraine’s Securities Market in the Post-War Context

The article defines the methodological aspects of the development of Ukraine's securities market in the post-war period. It is substantiated that a comprehensive methodological approach is necessary to ensure the effective development of Ukraine's securities market in the post-war period. The focus is placed on analyzing the state of the securities market, its segments, and key instruments, as well as the challenges and threats it faces in the post-war context. The study analyzes the volume of stock exchange trading in securities over the 2018-2023 period, revealing trends in the development of the domestic securities market and assessing the impact of internal and external factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the introduction of martial law in Ukraine. Despite these challenges, the market shows potential for recovery and growth in the post-war period. Strategies for its development are proposed, including integration into international financial structures, the introduction of innovative financial instruments, and strengthening regulatory frameworks. A SWOT analysis of Ukraine’s securities market in the post-war period highlights its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Special attention is given to the need to adapt Ukrainian legislation to European standards and leverage international experience. The conclusion emphasizes that adapting Ukrainian legislation to EU provisions will be a key element in enhancing market transparency and attractiveness for foreign investors. Implementing innovative financial instruments, digitalizing trading processes, fostering the growth of fintech companies, and utilizing blockchain technologies will also improve market efficiency. An increase in the number of initial public offerings (IPOs) is highlighted as one of the most effective methods for attracting capital to the Ukrainian economy.
