Theoretical Transformations of Leadership Forms and Managerial Leadership Qualities

The problem of studying theoretical transformations of leadership forms is to change approaches to defining the essence of leadership and the role of a manager in modern organizations. An important aspect is the transition from traditional authoritarian management models to more flexible, adaptive and democratic forms of leadership. The purpose of the study is to develop and analyze a logical-structural scheme for the transformation of leadership forms in its general theory. The author analyzes the theoretical foundations of modern leadership concepts and their impact on the effectiveness of management in organizations. It is noted that historically leadership was considered as a set of personal traits ("theory of the great man"), but later there was a transition to behavioral and situational theories that take into account external factors and the interaction between the leader and subordinates. The study emphasizes the change in management paradigms under the influence of globalization and technological changes. The differences between the concepts of "leader" and "manager" are analyzed, and their relationship in organizations is emphasized from the point of view of various scientists. Modern scientific approaches suggest considering leadership not only as a process of influence, but as a collective social phenomenon based on trust, inspiration and team development. Particular attention is paid to the concepts of transformational and transactional leadership, which are key in new management models. A transformational leader is aimed at long-term strategic changes, while a transactional leader is aimed at controlling and maintaining stability in the organization. The study also focuses on the latest theoretical approaches, in particular, leadership in the theory of behavioral economics, emotional and digital leadership. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the effectiveness of a leader in modern conditions largely depends on his ability to combine managerial competencies with leadership qualities, adapt to a changing environment and implement innovative approaches to management. The conclusions of the work may be useful for researchers in the field of management and practicing leaders who seek to improve their leadership skills.
