Peer review policy

Scientific journal "Acta Academiae Beregsasiensis. Economics" is a peer-reviewed publication that supports the policy of open access to scientific manuscripts.

All submissions to the journal are first reviewed for completeness and adherence to requirements and only then send for peer review.

The editorial board supports world standards of transparency of the review process; accordingly, the manuscript passes through:

- Check for plagiarism. The editorial board using the Unicheck system checks the existence of coincidences, identities or similarities in the texts provided by the authors;

- Independent expert review. Manuscripts undergo blind peer review, which is an anonymous manuscript evaluation process where the reviewers do not know who the author of the scientific article is, and the author does not know who the reviewers are.

Articles are published after receiving positive review report from a reviewer appointed by the editors. The editorial board members involve reviewers - specialists in the topic from which the submission was made, and external reviewers - specialists in the relevant field. The reviewers evaluate the article from the point of view of the originality of the results, the adequacy of the methods and the relevance of the results of the analysis and decide whether to accept the article unchanged or only after adjusting the articles in accordance with the comments, or to reject the submitted material. The review period is up to three weeks.

After receiving a positive (or negative) review report, the content of the document is communicated to the authors, who must finalize the comments and suggestions within the deadline set by the editors. If an article receives negative feedback from a reviewer, the editor sends the paper to another reviewer. If a manuscript receives two negative reviews, it is rejected by the journal for publication. The final decision to accept or reject an article rests with the editorial board.

If the article is rejected, the manuscript will be withdrawn and cannot be resubmitted to the journal.
