The growing need to assess managerial changes in insurance companies under innovative transformation during martial law requires the development of a solid analytical framework aimed at ensuring the economic stability of financial institutions. The specificity of the study lies in the search for new mechanisms for assessing the impact of managerial changes on innovative processes within insurance companies, as well as in the analysis of contemporary global trends in the implementation of innovations in insurance sector. Modern innovative directions of managerial transformation in insurance companies are systematized. Innovative directions for improving insurance company management are identified and prioritized, taking into account the European, particularly Polish, experience. The analytical approach is conceptualized as a structured system of interrelated analytical actions aimed at improving the organizational and managerial processes of insurance company. Particular attention is focused on the increasing concentration of functions of most intermediary entities within a unified organizational structure, a trend that is increasingly evident in the insurance market. To expand the application of the analytical approach, it is proposed to use the simplest method of constructing a business process model using one of the widely applied graphic notations – the EPC diagram (Event-driven Process Chain). To select the best option (prioritize) of innovative directions for identifying, analyzing, and improving management in an insurance company, taking into account European experience, the Decision Making Helper decision support system (DSS) was applied.
This system enabled the assessment of the priorities for management improvement in an insurance company across two key areas: a general strategic dimension comprising digital transformation, the use of artificial intelligence, and the implementation of risk-oriented management; and organizational change-support dimension focused on customer orientation, ESG transformation, and the implementation of innovative insurance products. Further research should focus on identifying innovative directions in insurance company management under the influence of contemporary global challenges.
